Straight from our farm to your cup

About Us
Rooted in Heritage, Nurtured by Nature
At Kote Coffee, every bean tells the story of patience, tradition, and respect for nature. Grown in the fertile soils of the Western Ghats in Sakleshpur, our coffee is cultivated with care, handpicked with precision, and crafted with love to bring you a true farm-to-cup experience.
The Art of Handpicking
We believe that great coffee begins at the plant itself. Our process involves handpicking only the ripened, matured cherries — a careful selection carried out in 2–3 rounds from the same plant to ensure that only the best reach your cup. This patient approach results in beans of consistent quality, free from compromise.
Clean Processing, Pure Taste
Once harvested, the cherries are pulped in our own estate pulper, and then dried meticulously in our neat, tiled drying yards. This controlled and clean environment preserves the natural flavors of the coffee, ensuring that every bean develops its character in harmony with nature.
Shade-Grown in Harmony
Our coffee thrives under the shade of diverse trees — jackfruit, mango, guava, mahogany, dadap, silver oak, coconut, arecanut, and nandi. This natural canopy not only nurtures our coffee plants but also fosters co-existence with the region’s flora and fauna. It is common to see peacocks, rabbits, forest hens, elephants, parrots, wild pigeons, and even rare bird species sharing space with our plantations — making our estate a thriving ecosystem, not just farmland.
Sustainable at Heart
We take pride in cultivating coffee with minimal chemical intervention. Instead, we enrich our soil with bio-fertilizers, organic manure, compost from forest soil, cow dung, coffee husk, tree leaves, neem powder, trichoderma, and novalgi. By avoiding chemical fertilizers as much as possible, we preserve the health of our land while producing coffee that is pure, wholesome, and deeply connected to its origin.
A Gift of the Western Ghats
Our estates are nestled in the Western Ghats of Sakleshpur, a region blessed with fertile soil, high altitude, and a climate perfectly suited for coffee, pepper, and arecanut cultivation. Here, every harvest is a tribute to the land we belong to and the traditions we uphold.
Our Promise
At Kote Coffee, you don’t just sip coffee — you experience the spirit of a land, the care of a family legacy, and the luxury of nature’s finest brew.
